摘要
Breast cancer is a malignant tumor arising from the epithelial cells of the mammary ducts. In recent years, its incidence has continued to increase, posing a serious threat to women’s physical and mental health. Symptom help-seeking behavior in patients with breast cancer is a critical factor influencing early diagnosis, medical decision-making, and the treatment process. Positive symptom help-seeking behavior enables patients to obtain timely medical intervention and improve their prognosis. In contrast, negative symptom help-seeking behavior may lead to delays in diagnosis and treatment, increase treatment difficulty and economic burden, and consequently reduce survival rates and quality of life. Symptom help-seeking behavior in patients with breast cancer is influenced by multiple factors, including age, educational level, economic status, level of disease-related knowledge, and the healthcare security system. In recent years, both domestic and international scholars have conducted extensive research on the influencing factors, assessment tools, and intervention strategies related to symptom help-seeking behavior among patients with breast cancer. This article reviews the current research status of symptom help-seeking behavior in patients with breast cancer, aiming to provide references for clinical nursing staff to develop scientific and effective intervention programs, thereby promoting active help-seeking behavior, improving disease prognosis, and enhancing quality of life.
