Objective: To explore the application and value of magnetic resonance medical imaging technology in dental treatment.

Methods:  patients who visited the stomatology department of our hospital and required imaging examination for auxiliary diagnosis were selected. All of them were examined by magnetic resonance medical imaging technology. The display of various oral diseases by magnetic resonance images and the impact on the formulation of subsequent treatment plans were analyzed.

Results: Magnetic resonance medical imaging technology performed excellently in the diagnosis of oral and maxillofacial soft tissue lesions (such as inflammation, tumors, etc.), temporomandibular joint diseases (disc displacement, joint inflammation, etc.), salivary gland diseases (inflammation, tumors, etc.), odontogenic tumors, etc. It could clearly show the scope, location of the lesions, and the relationship with surrounding tissues, providing important basis for the formulation of treatment plans. 

Conclusion: With its advantages of high soft tissue resolution, multi - planar imaging, and no radiation, magnetic resonance medical imaging technology has important application value in dental treatment. It can significantly improve the diagnostic accuracy of oral diseases, provide strong support for clinical treatment, and has a positive significance for improving the prognosis of patients.
