中国的冠心病人数超过1100万，其防控形式极为严峻。尽管越来越多的冠心病患者接受了血运重建（PCI or CABG)、抗栓及他汀强化降脂等综合治疗，但仍然存在较高的住院和死亡风险。因此对于冠心病患者探索进一步降低残余风险的治疗是未来的重要研究方向。
